Ghanaian rapper, Kwame Ametepee Tsikata known in the music industry as M.anifest has said that Ghanaian artists survive and feed on beef.
According to Ghana’s best rapper, beefing has become tactic musicians use to stay relevant in the industry. He also added that although some beefs have positive benefits, other are just negative.
He cited incidents where he witnessed some artists get involved in a lyrical beef in order to promote their career and brand.
“We’ve just inherited the world…people really recognized the financial benefit of attention. Attention is the new currency, it is a new drive that everybody feeds on and beef is the easiest way to get attention”, M.anifest disclosed
Manifest who some time back had a lyrical beef with Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie revealed in an interview with BBC World News that he only beefs with institutions and not with his colleagues.
“I have beefs with institutions (laughs)….that is life. It is a lot about different philosophical points of view, always going at each other whether it’s in literature, politics, religion etc”, he noted.
