When it comes to music in Africa, it is inarguable that the Nigerian music industry dominates.

The Naija music industry like Ghana’s continue to break boundaries and is attracting the positive attention due.

The 44th former president of the United States, Barack Obama also agrees that music from Africa should rank amongst his favourite playlist.

The former president and one of the best presidents in American history shared his Summer playlist and it featured music giants like Beyonce, Rihanna, Drake. Also on the list was our very own Nigerian artistes.

Burnaboy’s Last Last which has been a banger since its release was also featured in the summer playlist. Tems’ Vibe Out is definitely one of the president’s favourite songs.

When it comes to placing West Africa on the world map, Nigerian music isn’t the only one doing the job. Recently DJ Khaled was jamming to Kweku the Traveller from Black Sheriff on his Snapchat.

In other news, Former financier of Black Sherif, Mr Owusu, sued the musician for breaching their contract on Monday, April 11, 2022. The case has been dismissed for lack of justifiable cause to move with the motion on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.
