The American-based company, WhatsApp, which was bought in 2014 by Facebook Inc has hinted that there will be improvements in the messaging application’s security and privacy structure.

The initial “view once” security feature has now been extended to text messages and what’s even better is that you can prevent screenshots.

Some expected features include the ability to control who sees you online or not. You would also be able to exit groups without participants knowing. what’s even better is that you can prevent screenshots.
The hint came from the owner of WhatsApp, Mark Zuckerberg who announced the new juicy updates on his Facebook handle.

He posted “New privacy features coming to WhatsApp: exit group chats without notifying everyone, control who can see when you’re online, and prevent screenshots on view once messages. We’ll keep building new ways to protect your messages and keep them as private and secure as face-to-face conversations.

Several users of the messaging app have been calling for such privacy settings for a long time so it’s a good thing that it has finally been taken into consideration.
Telegram and Snapchat have for a while now had those privacy features and WhatsApp is yet to join.
