Food and Drugs Authority Shut Down Marwako Restaurant
The East Legon branch of Marwako Restaurant has been closed down by the FDA after several customers complained of suspected food poisoning on social media.
Lots of consumers who ate at the restaurant complained of stomach upset. Persons who have been affected by food poisoning mounted pressure on the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) to investigate the popular restaurant.
The FDA responded today the 12th of May and shared a tweet from their official page stating that they have shut down operations of the restaurant to enable them to conduct their investigations.
The authority acknowledged receiving complaints from consumers and assured the public that they will thoroughly investigate and take appropriate actions.
Marwako’s alleged food poisoning incident has received lots of reactions. Some people also took the opportunity to share their past experiences from eating at the restaurant. A Twitter user recounted an incident where the meat he ordered was not properly cooked.
